A BIT ABOUT US
Bob Griffis has been collecting minerals for over 50 years, since he was 8 years old. Bob has both B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Geology. He started selling minerals in 1978 as a way of helping to pay for his college education. He has been selling minerals part-time and full-time since 1978, at major shows, such as the MSSC and California Federation shows in California, and in Tucson at the TGMS and various hotel shows. Following graduation with his B.Sc. degree, Bob began working as a computer systems analyst, while working on his M.SC degree. This experience gave him some of the skills necessary to build his first website in 1995 for selling minerals and crystals on the internet. Bob has also worked since 1989 in the EHS field, helping keep people healthy and safe! Bob enjoyed publishing in the fields of igneous geology, geotechnical engineering, computer programming and computer applications in geology. Bob's collection has specialized in minerals from classic and unusual places, and he likes providing these types of specimens to the public.
Sarah Griffis began collecting minerals while in college, after meeting and marrying Bob. She has a special fondness for Sand Selenites and artistic and aesthetic specimens. Sarah has a B.Sc. degree in Geophysics, has worked in the software industry, and published in the field of computer applications in geology.
