Schorl tourmaline with Quartz

Erongo Mountains, Usakos and Omaruru Districts, Erongo Region, Namibia

DESCRIPTION:

This aesthetic floater specimen from Erongo is comprised of several Schorl crystals to 47 mm, accented with up to 3 mm Quartz points. The black tourmalines have great luster, with prismatic terminations at the top and a more fibrous terminations on the bottom. The luster and deep color make photography difficult. This specimen is much better in person, and with only one possible tiny chip visible with a 10x loupe, it is in exceptional condition.
