Fluorite

DeAn fluorite mine, Wushan, De'an Co., Jiujiang Prefecture, Jiangxi Province, China

DESCRIPTION:

Nicely intergrown, sharp-octahedral, green Fluorite crystals to 23 mm, with purple edges are nicely exposed on etched, white Quartz matrix. Some of the smaller Fluorite are purple in color only. The photos do not capture the nice green to purple color transition in the Fluorites. This mine is no longer producing. Most of these specimens are oiled, but not this one. Although there are a few partial crystals on the edge, this specimen is a very good example in very good condition.
