Quartz (var. Amethyst)
Jacksons Crossroads, Wilkes Co., Georgia, USA
Sold

Miniature
48 x 43 x 31 mm overall
Multiple, glassy, highly lustrous, rich-purple Quartz (var. Amethyst) crystals, the largest measuring 25 x 21 x 17 mm, are perched on matrix. Many of the Amethyst are sceptered, and the largest is doubly terminated. Clusters of clear Quartz points to 7 mm long cover the lower portion of the piece. The specimen is complete all around and displays well from all sides. The Amethyst is top color and is much better than the photos. Collected by Paul Geffner in March 2015, I hand picked this one specimen out of a large lot for its super aesthetics and lack of damage.
