Beryl ( var. Heliodor )

Sold

LOCATION:

Aqua Vermelha, Padre Paraíso region, Minas Gerais, Brazil

DESCRIPTION:

This gemmy, transparent golden-colored Beryl (v. Heliodor) crystal measures 26 mm long, with a well-formed, tapered pyramidal termination. Unlike many Brazilian Heliodors, this does not have any greenish tones, and has great clarity. Ed Swoboda personally picked this high quality piece in the 1960s and held it for over 30 years, when I purchased it in the early 1990s. This superb, high quality specimen displays well from all sides. The base of the crystal appears to be partly rehealed. The barrel and termination are pristine, and the color is superb!

SIZE: 26 x 7 x 6 mm overall (Thumbnail)
