DESCRIPTION:
Sparkling, needle-like crystals of bright-green Malachite fill two vugs in this limonite/goethite matrix. There are also a few lustrous and gemmy crystals of green (included) Calcite. This is a nice example from this old Greek iron mine, which is considered to be the best locality on Thasos Island, and probably in Greece.
