Fluorite

Sold

LOCATION:

Nikolaevskiy (Nikolaev) Mine, Dal'negorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Russia

DESCRIPTION:

Several lustrous, gemmy, water-clear cubic Fluorite to 33 mm across are perched on, and slightly included by, botryoidal tan aggregates of Siderite(?), which are clearly visible through some of the Fluorite. These are optically clear crystals that look just like glass. There is a small ding on the corner of a smaller Fluorite, and some cleavage around the specimen's margin, but the largest crystal is pristine. This is a great example of these clear Fluorites that Dal'negorsk was once famous for producing. These are now only available when collections are sold.
