with 15 x 5 mm Hemimorphite crystals
A fine, large-cabinet specimen with radiating sprays of rust-colored Hemimorphite to 1.5 cm in size, attractively arranged on a limonitic gossan matrix. The coloration is due to coating and/or inclusions of limonite. Minor peripheral contacting is present where the specimen was removed, and a few Hemimorphite crystals are broken which is common on these larger specimens; the missing crystals are mostly not noticeable. This fine old specimen dates to about the mid 1960s, when this collection was assembled.
