DESCRIPTION:
Highly-lusterous, gemmy Quartz (var. Amethyst) points to 22 mm across, with great purple color, are encrusted by a second generation of smaller Amethyst crystals grown on the faces. Sometime called cactus Quartz, these were first discovered in 1986 in the Magaliesberg Mountain Range near Pretoria, South Africa. This specimen is in excellent condition.
