Quartz with Epidote on Byssolite

DESCRIPTION:

Over a half-dozen, gemmy Quartz points to 47 mm have grown on a green, fibrous Byssolite matrix, and are partly included with fine, deep-green tufts of hair-like Byssolite. The Quartz is typically alpine clean, and is completely crystallized, with some recrystallized faces. One incomplete, green Epidote to 24 mm long is perched on one of the Quartz; several other Epidotes are also present. All these Quartz crystals are in excellent condition.
