Quartz faden
County Line Mine, Mt. Spur, Montgomery - Garland Counties, Arkansas, USA
$325

Large Cabinet
125 x 57 x 50 mm overall
Many clear, lustrous Quartz crystals are complexly intergrown to form this striking specimen. Many of the crystals are tabular, but what really makes this an extraordinary specimen are the several distinct Fadens. The longest thread is over 80 mm long. There may be some contacting, but with all the recrystallization around the ends of the specimen, it is not certain. The Fadens are difficult to see in the photographs but are clearly apparent in person. Collected in 1996 by Charlie Burch, this is a very fine specimen.
