DESCRIPTION:

Several colorless, transparent Calcite crystals to 1.6 cm, surrounded by numerous smaller Calcites, are perched on gray, weathered volcanic rock matrix. These crystals strongly resemble old-time English calcite specimens. The waterclear crystals with silky luster are lightly modified hexagonal prisms with trigonal terminations. Collected in 1990 by Dick Morris and Mark Hays. The mine has been reclaimed, and only 100 flats of specimens were produced. Only peripheral damage where removed.
