Fluorapatite with Muscovite

Mt. Xuebaoding, Pingwu County, Mianyang Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China

DESCRIPTION:

This well-balanced specimen features a pair of lustrous, light-purple Fluorapatite crystals perched next to a cluster of golden Muscovite blades to 13 mm. The largest Fluorapatite crystal is 22 x 16 x 13 mm in size and is perfect; the smaller crystal is cleaved on the reverse, and complete and undamaged on its display side. Most apatite from Xuebaoding is pinkish, and this is a rare color. The fantastic color contrasts and perfect aesthetics make this a top specimen.
