DESCRIPTION:
This fine specimen consists of the multiple crystals of Tunellite from the Type Locality, with sharp form, pearlescent luster, and translucence. Tunellite is a rare hydrated strontium borate, first discovered at the U.S. Borax Mine in 1961. It is in excellent condition, and only a small cleave on the reverse. This is from only the second find at the mine, in 2004, and is an excellent specimen.
