Cuprite on Copper

DESCRIPTION:

Small cubes of sparkly dark Cuprite to 1 mm richly cover this very sculptural, 3-dimensional arborescent native Copper. Flattened, bright red crystals, presumably also Cuprite, along with patches of green Malachite and white Calcite provide excellent contrasts. This very fine, old-time combination specimen from this historic Arizona mine was collected by John Mediz who had the collection contract, and was purchased from him in the early 1980s. It displays well from all sides and is in excellent condition.
