Fluorite with Quartz

Ruyuan Fluorite Mine, Ruyuan Co., Shaoguan Prefecture, Guangdong Province, China

DESCRIPTION:

A group of highly-lustrous, gemmy, light-green Fluorite crystals to 25 x 22 mm is perched on grey matrix. Numerous sharp, white Quartz points to 8 x 4 mm are partly enclosed by the Fluorite. These Fluorites are highly transparent, and have dodectahedral modifications. Small white grains of Quartz are included within these very glassy Fluorites, and some seem to be preferentially oriented. The photos can't capture how nice this piece looks in person. It is an excellent specimen, supposedly from a small 2013 find, and damage free. The Quartz shows strong orange fluorescence in LW.
