Sierra de Cruces, Municipio de Sierra Mojada, Coahuila, Mexico
DESCRIPTION:
Lustrous, richly-colored brownish-pink crystals of Grossular garnet to 18 x 17 mm exposed on white matrix and accented with yellowish-green Vesuvianite. Like all these specimens, this garnet was mechanically excavated without any repairs, with some minor chipping and incomplete crystals, as is normal with these specimens. The main garnet can be displayed so damage is not apparent. Collected December of 1992 by Graham Sutton and Bob Griffis.
