Fluorite
$45
LOCATION:
Afton Canyon area, Cady Mts., San Bernardino Co., California, USA
DESCRIPTION:
An unusual, somewhat botryoidal, opaque to translucent, light-green Fluorite. California is not known for producing Fluorite, and there are only two localities that produce green (and octahedral!) Fluorites - this locality and the Felix prospect in Azusa; both of these localities are now closed to collecting. This is a neat specimen, with several generations of Fluorite formation, and is free of damage. It is unusual in that it is strongly fluorescent in LW, and less so in SW.
SIZE: 65 x 38 x 21 mm overall (Small Cabinet)
Specimen Number: CMF1
