DESCRIPTION:
Lustrous, brownish Vesuviatite is exposed from classic Crestmore blue Calite. As these Vesuvianite grew within the Calcite (and were etched out), most show some matrix effects. The largest (13 x 10 mm) Vesuvianite is remarkably complete with just a corner that didn't completely form. This very nice specimen was collected by well-known field collector Dana Gochenour.
