Fluorite

LOCATION:
La Collada Mine, La Collada, la Viesca, Pola de Siero, Asturias, Spain
DESCRIPTION:
Very large, transparent, gemmy, modified cube of sky-blue Fluorite with beveled and stepped/etched edges. This seems to be composed of several intergrown cubes of Fluorite that merged to form a larger crystal. It is crystallized all around with no point of attachment, and has pale purple phantoms. It is in perfect condition; I only see one small chip on this specimen with a 10x loupe. This specimen looks somewhat like a Yaogangxian Fluorite, but is an old piece from Asturias, Spain. I have never seen another like it. It is ex. Alain Martaud collection.
SIZE: 79 x 72 x 72 mm overall (Small Cabinet)
COLLECTION: ex. Carolyn Seitz collection
