DESCRIPTION:
A hemisphere of orangish-red cryptocrystalline Fluorite measuring 2.2 x 1.5 cm is nicely perched on lustrous, clear Quartz points to 9 mm. The unusual color of the Fluorite is due to minute Hematite inclusions. Some Quartz is damaged at the specimen's margins where it was removed from the pocket in basalt. These red Fluorites are quite rare, and not often available.
