Andradite garnet

DESCRIPTION:

This is a great chance to get a VERY GOOD Andradite garnet specimen from Serifos. The Andradite crystals to 10 mm have very good luster with a dark, rich reddish-brown color. Under strong backlight, which I can’t photograph, the crystals have a more orangish-red color. The form of the crystals is unusual. Except for a small repair near the edge, this specimen has no damage, displays well and is quite showy. This is classic material from this noted locale, which produces the best Greek garnets.
