Andradite garnet
$125

LOCATION:
Kara #1 Pit, Kara Mine, Hampshire District, Tasmania, Australia
DESCRIPTION:
Beautiful clove brown, sharp and lustrous dodecahedral crystals of Andradite to almost 1 cm on matrix. Specimens from the Kara Mine are hard to get, as access is very limited and the skarn does not yield up many good specimens of any size. These Andradites are quite large for the locality. The specimen is ex. Ralph Bottrill collection, and he collected it in about May 1994.
SIZE: 35 x 20 x 25 mm overall (Miniature)
up to 9 mm Andradites
