Huangshaping Mine, Guiyang Co., Chenzhou, Hunan, China

Fluorite cubes to 1.2 cm in size form this double-sided plate. One side consists of transparent-mint-green Fluorite and the reverse side is made up of purple cubes, creating a play of colors. It is distinctly different on front and back. There is sharp zoning, and some cubes contain distinctive cubic clay phantoms, some of which appear to have been etched. Penetration twinning is present. Purple fluorescence. There is a minor contact, otherwise appears to be floater. This mine is known for such mint-green Fluorite and this one is way above average for crystal clarity.
