Danburite with Bornite
Sold

LOCATION:
Charcas District, Municipio de Charcas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico
DESCRIPTION:
This is a spectacular plate covered with dozens of clear, chisel-shaped crystals of Danburite to 46 x 11 mm, many of them very clear and gemmy. The Danburite is accented by well-formed, bluish iridescent Bornite crystals to 8 mm. Minor Chalcopyrite is also present. In pristine condition, I can only find a few broken crystals around the margin of the specimen. I have never seen a plate like this, and it would be a centerpiece for any Mexican collection.
SIZE: 166 x 143 x 68 mm overall (Large Cabinet)
with up to 46 x 11 mm Danburites
COLLECTION: ex. Joel D. Cohen collection
