Dioptase on Chrysocolla

$85

LOCATION:

Ray Mine, Ray District, near Kearney, Dripping Springs Mts., Pinal County, Arizona, USA

DESCRIPTION:

This rich specimen from the Ray Mine has many lustrous, emerald-green Dioptase crystals to 6 mm long on contrasting, bluish-grey Chrysocolla. Unlike most Arizona Dioptase, this specimen has nice, distinct and large-for-the-locality crystals. This is one of a small batch of Dioptase specimens collected in May 1992 by Pat, who was a shift boss at the Ray Mine. I acquired the entire lot a few days later. No damage.

SIZE: 33 x 31 x 23 mm overall (Miniature)

Specimen Number:  RAY-02
