DESCRIPTION:
Fine, sharp hexagonal Corundum ( v. Sapphire ) crystal with classic blue color is nicely perched atop contrasting white matrix. The Corundum is large at 40 x 32 mm, and thick at over 10 mm, with well-developed triangular growth lines in its face. It is in excellent condition and is a top example from this famous Russian locality. Purchased in 1999 for my personal collection.
