DESCRIPTION:
A classic Hematite iron-rose from Brazil, made up of stacked, silvery-black platy hexagonal crystals with mirror-like luster, with smaller Hematite plates arranged in a rosette on the face of the larger crystal. The crystals range from 4 mm to 4.7 cm in diameter. This Hematite is unusually thick for the find, making it look even more like a classic Alpine Hematite. These were brought out by the well-known (and greatly missed) Brazilian collector / dealer Luis Menezes in 1998. Damage free.
