Scheelite
Tae Hwa Mine, Neungam-ri, Angseong-myeon, Chungju, Chungcheongbukdo, South Korea
$900

Miniature
37 x 36 x 30 mm
An incredibly sharp, dipyramidal, partially gemmy, lustrous, amber to coffee-brown Scheelite octohedron from the famous Taewha Mine in South Korea. It is partly embayed on the reverse showing some Muscovite matrix. Taewha Scheelites were long considered to be the finest in the world, until recently. This is a very CHOICE specimen from Taewha. Excellent blue-white fluorescence. A South Korean classic, I purchased it in 1994 from Ed Swoboda.
