Vanadinite ( var. Endlichite )

LOCATION:
Erupcion/Ahumada Mine, Los Lamentos District, Sierra de Los Lamentos, Municipio de Ahumada, Chihuahua, Mexico
DESCRIPTION:
Very bright, slightly tapered, honey-brown to chocolate-brown Vanadinite (v. Endlichite) crystals to 8 mm partly cover a sparkling, very 3-dimensional limonitic matrix. Vanadinites are skeletal with hollow centers, and have a metallic luster. This is a great old specimen that has only one visible point of attachment and no visible damage. It was raised prior to 1978 when I purchased it for my own collection, and these are seldom seen on the market in this quality.
SIZE: 61 x 53 x 51 mm overall (Small Cabinet)
8 x 1 mm Vanadinite crystals
