Fluorite on Quartz

LOCATION:

DeAn fluorite mine, Wushan, DeAn Co., Jiujiang Prefecture, Jiangxi Province, China

DESCRIPTION:

Nicely isolated octahedrons of Fluorite of different sizes and colors are perched on etched, white Quartz matrix. The larger Fluorites, measuring to 28 x 26 mm, have green cores and purple edges, and the smaller Fluorites are light purple with darker purple edges. The photos do not capture the nice green to purple color transition in the Fluorites. This mine is no longer producing, and this specimen is an very good example in perfect condition.
