Fluorite with Calcite and Barite

Annabel Lee Mine, Cave-in-Rock District, Hardin County, Illinois, USA

DESCRIPTION:

A stunning piece comprised of many dark-purple cubes of Fluorite to 8 mm perched on massive Sphalerite matrix, with some reddish ruby-jack areas. Small clusters of pearlescent white Barite crystals to 1 mm thickly coat the specimen. Small pale-yellow Calcite crystals to 2 mm partly cover some of the Fluorites. Some of the Fluorites have a flattened habit. It is much better than the photos show. This is classic Annabel Lee Mine material, is ex. Tom Weisner specimen, and is in perfect condition.
