DESCRIPTION:
The Smithsonite in this specimen has great luster and a bluish hue which contrasts sharply with the dark-red vuggy hematite matrix! The largest sphere is nearly 16 mm in diameter. The surface of the Smithsonite consists of minute crystal faces yielding a silky appearance. This is a great specimen from the ancient Laurium mining district with no damage.
