DESCRIPTION:

A high quality matrix specimen of green Quartz crystals to 28 mm perched on fibrous Hedenbergite. From the “Broken-leg pocket,” which was found by Christos Spiromitros (Thessaloniki) in April, 2008, this is one of the better pieces collected from this difficult pocket, and has only a few broken crystals. The color changes from dark green at the bottom to translucent lighter green at the tips which creates a nice effect. This is of Top quality and displays well! My source in Greece tells me the zone is mined out, so specimens of this quality will not be around for long.
