DESCRIPTION:
A cute example of green Quartz crystals to 22 mm perched on fibrous Hedenbergite. The color changes from dark green at the bottom to translucent lighter green at the tips which creates a nice effect. From the “Broken-leg pocket,” which was found by Christos Spiromitros (Thessaloniki) in April, 2008, it has only a few broken crystals, and displays well. My source in Greece tells me the zone is mined out, so specimens of this quality will not be around for long.
