Hematite with Rutile on Quartz

DESCRIPTION:

This CLASSIC Alpine Hematite from Switzerland has a mirror-bright cluster of black Hematite, to 4.7 cm across, which sits perfectly upon very glassy transparent colorless Quartz and alpine rock matrix measuring 6.5 x 5.5 cm in overall size. This is a true classic of high quality as evident in the photo. Nice, well-terminated and sharply-defined red Rutile crystals sit perched atop the Hematite crystal grouping. Cavradi Switzerland is well-known for being one of the best localities for the Hematite species. This ex Larry Conklin specimen is pristine and damage free.
