Zircon with Biotite on Nepheline

DESCRIPTION:
This remarkably-good specimen hosts a single, gemmy, well-developed Zircon measuring 17 x 12 x 11 mm, on a Biotite and Nephelinite matrix. Several small Zircons are embedded in the Biotite. The large Zircon is mostly complete, with deep-red orange in color, with perfect sharp faces. It fluoresces bright yellow under UV. Self collected by Torgeir Garmo.
