Many rhombs of translucent Calcite to 15 mm, with satiny luster, richly cover this attractive specimen from a large concretion. Many of the Calcites have dark bands accenting their edges, and some are partly coated with dark-red hematite. The iron-stained crystallized tan-colored Barite matrix, in shades of red to yellow, provides nice contrast. It is in excellent condition, and is strikingly attractive. Collected by Amanda Adkins (of Prospector's fame) on July 30, 2013.
