Malachite From Katanga, DRC

Marty Houhoulis collection
Featured in this update are over 30 specimens from the collection of Marty Houhoulis. I have known Marty for nearly 30 years, and in that time he has had access to many collecting localities, working as an exploration geologist in the USA, as well as Mexico and Bolivia. He also had lots of opportunities to trade with some other well-know collectors. Among the rarities are a Scheelite from New Mexico, pieces from Colorado, and a Nevada Axinite collected by Ed Over. Please have a look!

Recent Show Finds
We procured a number of specimens at the recent Denver and Tucson shows, and have been getting them ready for this update. These are from 2 disparate geographic areas: California and Australia.

Highlighting the California part of this update is a MAJOR, historic, and illustrated California matrix Morganite which is over 3 inches across. Several Benitoites, and an unrepaired CryoGenie Quartz on matrix, round out California.

From Australia we bring you a couple of garnets from hard to find localities, 2 very good Native Bismuth crystals, a top-color Rhodonite and an unusual Topaz.

We hope you enjoy!
