Fluorite

Moffat Tunnel, Cripple Creek District, Teller Co., Colorado, USA

Sold
Miniature

57 x 32 x 17 mm overall

A nice cluster of lustrous, gemmy, darker-lilac-purple Fluorite cubes to 4 mm with just one point of attachment. One side is accented with white Chalcedony. The perceived color of these Fluorites varies depending on the color temperature of the lighting, and these photos are a bit more violet than they appear under daylight. They are not strongly fluorescent under UV lighting. This is a really nice Fluorite, with rich color, and displays well from all sides. This was the only piece I saw of Fluorite without the Barite epimorphs, and is a fine Fluorite from this limited discovery.
