Barite and Stibnite
Murray Mine, Independence Mountains District, Independence Mts., Elko County, Nevada, USA
Sold
Small Cabinet
70 x 64 x 36 mm overall
Pseudocubes of translucent grey Barite to 11 mm, with satiny luster, host many needles of lustrous, silver-grey Stibnite to 15 mm. I only see a few broken Stibnites. Most Barites from the Murray Mine were coated with sugary Quartz crystals, but not this one. This is a very good specimen, is aesthetic and in great condition. Collected in March 2000 by Jane and Casey Jones.
