Fluorite ( pseudo. Calcite )
Mount Ayachi, Midelt, Khénifra Province, Meknès-Tafilalet Region, Morocco
$750
Large Cabinet
117 x 48 x 40 mm overall
This is a really weird Pseudomorph of Fluorite after Calcite. The Fluorite has the typical trigonal shape of Calcite, with a light violet color, and somewhat greyish-violet, pitted trigons zoning within the faces. The luster is very good, particularly for a pseudo, and the largest Fluorite is 20 mm across. A very small lot of these Fluorites were brought to the Bologna, Italy show in 2006 by Ernesto Ossola, and this is one of the best of the find. It is in excellent condition.
