Fluorite with Galena and Sphalerite

Naica Mine, Naica District, Sierra de Naica, Municipio de Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico

$130
Large Cabinet

95 x 79 x 41 mm overall

This plate of clear Quartz points to 17 mm long and sugary opaque-white Calcite richly hosts crystals of Fluorite, Galena and Sphalerite. Lustrous, clear, modified cubes of Fluorite to 9 mm dominate, and are accompanied by shiny octahedrons of Galena to 8 mm and black Sphalerite crystals to 5 mm. Sparkly, brassy Chalcopyrite liberally accents this fine old Naica specimen, in great condition. This specimen is also ex collections of Carl Acosta and of Zena S. Linden (a well-respected member of the Bay Area Mineralogists, from San Jose, CA area).
