Stibnite

Cripple Creek District, Teller Co., Colorado, USA

Sold
Small Cabinet

68 x 55 x 27 mm overall
with up to 7 mm Stibnites

Historic A.E. Foote specimen from the late 1800s. Radiating, flattened sprays of silvery-grey Stibnite fill a seam in matrix from historic Cripple Creek, Colorado. A small pocket filled with Quartz and a few blebs of purple Fluorite provide an accent. Much of the Stibnite was associated with Calavarite, although this specimen hasn't been analyzed. It is from the Richard Hauck collection, and has a Foote, Philad'a label on the reverse. This is a neat historic specimen, perfect for collectors of Stibnite, Colorado or historic labels.
