Quartz with Spessartine and Albite (ex. Sinkankas)

105 x 32 x 30 mm overall

This clear to slightly smoky, doubly-terminated Quartz crystal, measuring 105 x 28 x 22 mm, from the Little 3 Mine is partly covered and included with Albite to 8 mm forming both blocky crystals and sprays of Cleavlandite, and some smaller doubly-terminated Quartz points. Several light-orange, partly corroded Spessartine garnets to 4 mm accent the Albite. A few, small, black Schorl crystals are included within the Quartz. The specimen is in perfect condition. This is an ex. John Sinkankas Collection specimen, accompanied by his signed personal collection label, making this a piece of San Diego County history.
