Brookite on Quartz (var. Smoky)

15 x 10 x 5.5 mm overall

A superb, sharp, lustrous, black, pseudo-octahedral, single crystal of Brookite measuring 9 x 9 x 5.5 mm is perched on a doubly-terminated opaque, gray Quartz crystal measuring 13 x 3 x 3 mm. Several smaller Brookites are perched on the specimen, and the Quartz has a slight purple iridescence. Collected in the late 1980s, it is in pristine condition, and is a perfect, high-quality example of classic Arkansas Brookite.
