45 x 27 x 15 mm overall
with up to 12 x 10 mm Lazulites
This is a spectacular Lazurite miniature with exceptional luster and color. The fat, sharply terminated crystals are large, to 12 mm, and the specimen is very 3-dimensional. The color is an intense dark blue. Minor brown Augelite provides a contrasting accent amongst the Lazulite crystals, and forms larger crystals on the reverse. It is much more bright and showy in person, and the color cannot be captured in the photos. This is a superior miniature among best in its size class. It was held back by Ed Swoboda for nearly 20 years, when I purchased it in the early 1990s for my personal collection. No damage.
