Elbaite tourmaline (gemmy!)

A very gemmy, glassy rich-green Elbaite tourmaline with pinacoid termination from Brazil. It is removed from matrix at the base. Very difficult for me to photograph; it is much gemmier in person. Ed Swoboda personally picked this high quality piece in the 1960s and held it for over 30 years, when I purchased it in the early 1990s. This superb, high quality specimen displays well, is in excellent condition, and the color is superb!
