Quartz ( var. Tessin ) with Dolomite

DESCRIPTION:

This classic Tessin habit Quartz is icy-clear, glassy, and lustrous with a very faint smokiness. Pale-cream-colored rhombs of what is likely Dolomite to 6 mm are perched on one side of the Quartz. The crystal is perfect, with a sharp termination and recrystallized flat base. The Quartz is weakly fluorescent yellow in SW within the crystal. It has a long history, and is ex. Clifford J. Krueger collection, ex. Chuck Trantham collection and ex. Carolyn Seitz collection (2002). No damage.
