DESCRIPTION:
Lustrous, pale-green Apophyllite crystals to 11 x 2 mm are partly covered with hair-like fibers of lustrous green Actinolite (Var. Byssolite). Byssolite is an asbestos mineral and must be handled with care. This thumbnail is in excellent condition, with Ed Swoboda's original mounting. It was held back by Ed since the early 1970, and I purchased it in the early 1990s for my personal collection. No damage.
